Marvin Canada is an American company that manufactures high-end windows and doors. They currently have several branches in Canada, including one newly established in Montreal, Quebec.

Mission

Marvin Canada has translated its site into French, and is now looking for prospects in Quebec. They entrusted us with the responsibility of growing the French-language portion of their site, with the goal of targeting a relevant clientele for their high-quality products. The strategy had to be adapted to the province.

Strategy and results

For Marvin Canada, our SEO strategy was based on the three pillars of improving online visibility. First, we did a thorough optimization of the product category pages. This included revising and expanding product descriptions to add relevant keywords, and an overall optimization of the page structure to make product pages more search engine friendly.

Next, we focused our efforts on the site’s internal linking. Effective internal linking is crucial for guiding users to related content and helping search engines understand the site’s hierarchy. We installed a strong link structure between pages, so that every important page could be accessed in just a few clicks.

Finally, we worked on improving image rankings. Images play an essential role in the user experience in this sector and can also be a significant source of traffic. We optimized the alt tags of all images to include relevant keywords and ensured that images were compressed to improve site loading speed.

Today, this site ranks in the top 3 within Google search results for 30 non-brand keywords. Sessions have doubled, clicks have  increased by 383%, and page impressions by 507% in the French-speaking part of Canada alone in the past year.
